Dear mac Users and Experts,

with macOS Mojave Apple did introduce the notarization of apps.
https://developer.apple.com/developer-id/ says: “Note that in an upcoming release of macOS, Gatekeeper will require Developer ID signed software to be notarized by Apple.”

Currently the eclipse packages distributed via Eclipse.org are signed but not notarized. I think we should enable notarization for the Eclipse packages. What do you think?

Regards,
Matthias

The installer also distributes signed DMGs.

The process looks complicated and horrible.

https://developer.apple.com/documentation/security/notarizing_your_app_before_distribution

This would seem to be something that would/could/should be handled by
CBI, perhaps as part of the existing signing process...
